FibreGrid’s SlipGrip range of anti slip stair tread covers and landing covers meet the highest standard in both safety and durability. Ideal for industrial, commercial or public stairways and landings, the SlipGrip range can be applied to a variety of surfaces, including concrete, steel and wood on either new or worn out steps.
FibreGrid’s SlipGrip anti slip stair tread covers have been installed in a variety of commercial and industrial premises, from golf clubs to railway stations to foot bridges. And due to the high level of chemical resistance, the range is ideal for any type of workplace, given that the covers can be applied to a wide range of substrates.
SlipGrip fibreglass GRP (glass reinforced plastic) stair tread covers and landing covers are FibreGrid’s most durable solution to slippery steps. If you are looking to apply anti slip stair tread covers to stairs with medium to high levels of traffic, particularly in public areas, then SlipGrip’s GRP range is the best solution. SlipGrip GRP covers are made by pultrusion through a steel die rather than the hand lay-up method, meaning they are far more durable than other covers on the market.
SlipGrip self-adhesive PVC backed anti slip stair tread covers are an ideal solution to areas of light traffic or areas where a temporary solution is needed. Easy and quick to apply, these stair tread covers offer an affordable alternative to the SlipGrip GRP range.
The SlipGrip range is DDA compliant, Building Regulations compliant, and available in a wide range of colours and grades. Cut-to-size and installation services are offered to all customers, so call us today for a quote.
Stair Tread Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Do I need Standard, Heavy Duty or Extreme Core stair treads?
A. This depends on how heavily used the staircase will be. For medium foot traffic our Standard stair treads are ideal. For heavy foot traffic, we’d recommend our Heavy Duty stair treads - you also have a choice between fine (internal) and coarse (external) grit. Our Extreme Core stair tread covers are an exceptionally durable solution for stairs that experience very heavy foot traffic, e.g. train stations.
Q. Can your stair tread covers be cut to size?
A. Yes, our stair tread covers can be cut to size using orbital cutting equipment with a diamond blade. Please see our data sheets on the stair tread product pages for more info on cutting. We offer a free cut to size service for all SlipGrip® products (except for our aluminium treads), simply contact us and provide the measurements you require, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Q. Are your stair tread covers easy to install?
A. Our stair tread covers are easily and quickly installed with our fixing kits. You can find full installation instructions on the data sheets found on the product pages, and you can also find an installation video on the product pages and on our YouTube channel.
Q. How long does delivery take?
A. Usually 2-3 days. Orders placed before 1pm are dispatched same day.
If an order requires extra legwork e.g. cutting, then it may be dispatched at a slightly later date. Some jobs require a special order, for which we may need to order materials in. In these cases please allow up to 12 weeks for delivery.
