Stamford Train Station - National Rail Case Study

Our Anti Slip Tactile Paving – Blister On-Street was installed at Stamford Train Station.

Tactile flooring is typically used to warn people when they are approaching a change in elevation such as railway platforms, pedestrian crossings, staircase ascent and descent areas and many other applications. At Stamford station, our Blister On-Street was placed along the edge of the platform to warn visually impaired who would otherwise, in the absence of a kerb upstand, find it difficult to differentiate between where the footway ends and the carriageway begins. The surface is, therefore, an essential safety feature for this group of road users at pedestrian crossing points such as Stamford railway.
