We are delighted to have supplied and installed GRP grating, risers and ladders at a local landmark and recently refurbished theatre project in Stockton-on-Tees.

The Stockton Globe theatre is set to re-open after huge 10 year restoration project.

Over 900m² of FibreGrid's GRP grating was fixed to access areas of the newly erected fly tower; after all pre-contact site surveys and inspections were undertaken.

Lightweight GRP access ladders were also supplied for the lighting rig above the stage. GRP was chosen by the client for its high strength-to-weight ratio, reducing the overall weight of the structure compared with alternative materials such as steel.

All GRP slip resistant, lightweight and non-corrosive grating panels were supplied and installed in house by FibreGrid throughout the project.

The Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) will run the venue in a 25-year lease agreement with the council. After multiple investments, project stalls and other hurdles; the total price tag for the entire renovation amounted to just under £28m.
