February 2020 Question

Whether you are looking to refresh your warehouse floor or improve the slip resistance on a fire escape, we offer a range of anti slip solutions for your conditions. The main factor influencing the choice of grit you may wish to use is traction and FibreGrid offers two choices, silica quartz and our more robust option, aluminum oxide.

SlipGrip Standard Anti Slip GRP Stair Tread Covers and Flat Sheets are the most cost effective options we offer. Quick and easy to install and capable of withstanding light to medium foot traffic, the silica quartz grit coating provides a Pendulum Test Value (PTV) of 71 when dry and 63 when wet. This gives our Standard Anti Slip GRP products an extremely low slip potential.

SlipGrip Heavy Duty Anti Slip GRP Stair Tread Covers and Flat Sheets are our signature products. These anti slip products feature our aluminum oxide grit coating which is more hard wearing and provides a higher slip resistance when wet (PTV 70) and dry (PTV 76). The hard wearing grit means it is guaranteed to last for at least 10 years before it may need replacing.

We recommend our Heavy Duty range for applications requiring a stronger, more durable product that needs to be able to withstand heavy foot traffic.

Our heavy duty treads and sheets also have 2 grit grades available to choose from, fine for internal applications and coarse for external applications.

Internal (Fine)

External (Coarse)
